Will Your Visions of 2016 Bring You Home?
Will your visions of 2016 bring you home? That is the topic I chose to share on this Monday afternoon for you all. As some of you know, I am back in my hometown of Fortuna, ND. I’ve been spending time with my parents, my grandma and just overall relaxing and recharging the batteries. (Slept in until 10:21 am the first morning! lol) The pic below is the house I grew up in. So as I’ve been reflecting and looking back on being home this week, it brought up some interesting perspectives on the “home” within us all. The one that maybe our life path has taken us far, far…

Don’t Get Discouraged, Addiction to the Process Not the Outcome.
Are you discouraged right now? Don’t be. Hang on for a minute and then listen in as I tell you why. So…as you look up at the image above you are probably laughing and also wondering…what the heck is going on with Ray Higdon lol?! Well just as my label says in the image, there are many faces to Ray. And that is a great thing for those who seek success in mindset. Just yesterday my friend Ray shared a fantastic video about how not to get discouraged and to avoid becoming addicted to the outcome. He breaks it down in a video/blog post with a perfect combination of humor…

Through The Glass
Through The Glass…. There are times when we feel we are always on the sideline…. We want to get into the game We want it all We can see it…. Taste It… Hear It…. Feel It…. But the truth is, not all of us are blessed with the gifts to have the potential to ‘be in the game’ What is it worth to you to get into the game? Are you willing to do what others are not willing to do….get up early; stay late; run one more mile; do one more push-up; to listen, rather than speak; to let go of ego; to admit you are not ‘all-knowing’??? These…

Steve Harvey, New Year and Being Sick and Tired
Steve Harvey was sick and tired of himself. He was exhausted. He was worn down. He was worn out by poverty. He was just plain sick and tired of it all. And like the picture below states, “it’s a kind of TIRED that sleep can’t fix.” As the New Year approaches, many times these same feelings can overwhelm us. We feel like we didn’t accomplish what we set out to do in 2015. We let ourselves down, we let others down. We feel exhausted by all our efforts. We wonder…How can I WIN in 2016? Well listen in to this episode of The Mindset Mountain Podcast as I share a…

Unofficial Mentors: We All Are Teachers
Unofficial mentors. Not only are they available to all of us, but each of us can fulfill that role to someone else. Listen in on this solo shot episode on a Monday as I speak on the importance of the unofficial mentors in our lives. I also speak on how whether we like it or not…each of us play that role of mentor to a stranger, a family member or friend. It is a responsibility that we should never take lightly. Resistance: Fueled By Fear
Resistance: Fueled By Fear! In a world of chaos and more and more of individuals playing the ‘victim of circumstances’, the accountability of an individual seems to fade more and more often. I don’t have the time…. I wasn’t blessed with the gifts he/she has…. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth… How about the fact that some of those who got “lucky”…..took them ten years to get to a place of success, and I’m not just talking about financial success. Resistance towards a goal or dream or vision is fueled by FEAR…. Now it is time to overcome this FEAR, to reduce, minimize, or simply SMASH…

Trouble with the Curve: Mindset Hack to Hit Your Goals
Whoaaaaa! Man…is that ball gonna smack me right up my head? What do I do? I’m freaking out! Do I stay in the batter’s box and take a swing or back out? I might be talking about baseball in the above paragraph, but this also can apply to your everyday life as well. For there are going to be certain days when life throws you a curveball. The question will be…can you show the patience, the power of mindset to still hit it out of the park? In this episode of the Mindset Mountain Podcast, I share a personal story from just yesterday that caused me to apply this mindset…

Countdown — 3…2…1
The Countdown ~~ Change will begin in 3…..2…..1….. How is your thinking on this? January 1st, life for you is going to change You just need to make it through December to get out of 2015….then all is good, as we bring on “New Beginnings”. Well, we go through a major mindset shift when we begin thinking like this….yes, I’m guilty of this too We go through a ‘poverty mindset’ in our thinking, as we choose to ignore the month of December as the time for change….how about tomorrow, or the next week….rather than less than a month away because the year will change? Our focus is on ‘what we…

Kobe Bryant Retires…And That’s OK.
Kobe Bryant Retires…and that’s OK. So by now most of you have seen the news on ESPN or CNN or something other network…Kobe Bryant is retiring after this season. He will no longer be rocking the purple and gold of a Los Angeles Laker. After attempting to come back from another tough injury..his body can no longer recover and bounce back like in his youth. So Kobe Bryant….a Laker legend….one of the best in the history of basketball…is walking away. And in doing so…I feel he is displaying a mastery of mindset that very few Hall of Fame caliber athletes ever embrace. Too often when Father Time comes tick tock…

Are You Still Grateful? Your Answer Has Power!
Are You Still Grateful? This was the question I had to ask myself a couple days after this Thanksgiving. And it’s a question I feel we all need to ask ourselves daily. Am I still grateful? When everyone around us on a national holiday like Thanksgiving is being grateful for anything and everything…it’s easy to do the same. But once the warm and fuzzy feeling of that day passes…are we able to still embrace an attitude of gratitude? Especially when the day to day grind, the challenges rise up in our path. Over time on my personal journey, I can honestly say I was not grateful at all for many,…
